Remember

Have you ever had one of those “AHA” moments?  You know, when you read something, or see something, or hear
something that acts like a key in a lock, and the tumblers just fall into place?  A simple phrase can open a realm of possibilities and awareness.  A while ago, such a thing happened to me, and it made a profound change in my perspective.  Things I had known, and thought I understood, became clearer and connected in such a way that it was amazing I hadn’t seen the correlations before.  Yes, it was an “AHA!” moment, but it was also a “Duh” moment!

I had been at a workshop presented by a Pagan Psychologist, and he took the entire group through a non-hypnotic Past Life Regression.  It was interesting, and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience, until he said to “turn around and go back!”  Well, I turned around, but instead of retracing my steps, I found myself standing before a temple.  It was shocking at first, not at all what I had expected; yet it felt right that I was there.  Entering the temple, I saw a group of people preparing for Ritual.  My impression was that this Ritual was for the purpose of sending forward, to future generations, the message to “REMEMBER”.  It was like tying a string around our fingers, so that at a future time, our reincarnated selves would have the knowledge of what our lives, and our purpose had been in this ancient time.

As I left the workshop, I knew something significant had happened, but it took time to realize just how much of an impact this “memory” had on my life.  Talking with others, over the past year, I’ve found many who have had a similar experience.  We’ve worked out some possibilities, and maybe even some probabilities, which seem to fit our awareness of Craft teachings.  We’ve come to the supposition that in the Temples of the Ancestors, they knew that their culture and lifestyle were changing.  They also knew that all things come in cycles.  So in their efforts to preserve the old ways, and teachings, they devised a plan to impart their knowledge by charging the practitioners with the responsibility of remembering the old ways at a future time in their reincarnations.  We think that they used astrological signs to trigger the memories.  Over the centuries, there have been many who kept the old ways alive by remembering, and then researching, and passing on the awareness they found.  Today, there is a great imperative for more to find the old pathways, and bring them forward into our future.  The time is now, to REMEMBER!
