gather information on a rather unusual range of objects that can be
discovered hidden within the walls and under the floors of old
buildings. Objects such as dried cats, horse skulls, old shoes,
written curses and charms, witch-bottles and ritual marks were often
placed in buildings. These objects, and many other kinds of object,
were usually concealed in buildings and sometimes outdoors for use as
spells or counter-spells and currently not enough is known about
them. More research is needed and you might be able to help.

This home page and its associated documents are part of an
initiative to make Paganlink's resources more widely available via
the Internet and the World Wide Web. It provides information on
Paganism and is primarily focussed on the UK and Ireland. There is
also a limited amount of information concerning the rest of Europe.
It has been possible to contact Paganlink via e-mail since 1992 and
this site has been available since the early days of the web.
Pagan Federation
- The Pagan Federation, founded in 1971, works to safeguard the
religious rights of Pagans, that they might worship and live free
from defamation. It liaises with the Home Office, hospital pastoral
services, Prison chaplaincy, Parliament, Social Services, GLA and
other official bodies. The PF has helped supply expert witnesses in
court cases and has assisted in cases of religious discrimination. It
has succeeded in having Paganism recognised as a valid religion by
the UK's Interfaith Network and by the Home Office. The Federation
aims to make it easier for Pagans in hospital or prison to be
attended by Pagan religious visitors and chaplains. Other projects
include providing information for those wishing Pagan rites of
passage - handfastings (weddings), child-blessings, and funerals.

Pagan Federation: Devon and Cornwall Regional site
- An annual conference is held at the end of November and
there are regional conferences throughout the year, such as the Devon and
Cornwall Conference in Tintagel, Cornwall,
in March.
Pagan
Federation in Ireland - The Pagan Federation has been in continuous existence since 1971 and has
published its journal, Pagan Dawn, and its previous
incarnation as The Wiccan, since 1969. Over this time it has grown to a
readership of more than 10,000 quarterly. These facts make the Pagan Federation
one of the largest and oldest organisation of its type in Europe.
